Discover the groundbreaking early work of Thelonious Monk with Genius of Modern Music, Vol. 2, an essential collection documenting one of jazz’s most distinctive and influential pianists. Originally compiled and released by Blue Note in 1956, the album brings together recordings from Monk’s formative sessions as a leader between 1947 and 1952.
