Erykah Badu & The Alchemist – Before the World Blows: The Abi and Alan Experiment (2LP Vinyl)

Experience Erykah Badu and The Alchemist’s Before the World Blows: The Abi and Alan Experiment, a deeply personal and genre-defying collaboration that brings together two of music’s most distinctive creative voices.

Recorded over 18 months between Dallas and Los Angeles, the album pairs Badu’s unmistakable vocals and jazz-informed rhythmic style with The Alchemist’s warm, sample-driven production. The result moves effortlessly through soul, blues, funk, jazz, rock, and underground hip-hop, creating a sound that feels both familiar and completely original.

The project grew from Badu and The Alchemist’s shared appreciation for soulful, sample-heavy music and developed into a full collaborative album. Across 16 tracks, the duo explores love, identity, memories, womanhood, art, and personal growth.

Standard Edition – Black Vinyl

The standard release comes as a 2LP black-vinyl pressing, featuring the complete 16-track album.

Indie Exclusive – Neon Orange Vinyl

The Indie Exclusive edition features the same 16-track album pressed on striking Neon Orange colored vinyl. This special edition is available exclusively through independent record stores, making it an especially appealing version for collectors.

Both editions are scheduled for release on December 11th, 2026.
